About the Guest: Tsitsi Zawaira (Tsi tsi) has a B.A in International Studies/Women and Gender Studies from Winona State University, MN and M.A in International Studies with a specialized focus on Gender Based Violence at the University of San Francisco, CA. She interned with the program Director of International Women's Rights Action Watch at the University of Minnesota, learned the legal framework behind Family violence with an international outlook. Tsitsi has worked with WomenVenture and MCCD, as well as organizations that support small businesses. She has had the amazing opportunity to volunteer and work for different organizations in both Zimbabwe and the U.S -, all focused on the eradication of gender based violence. Being an advocate, a business consultant, an aspiring writer and a scholar has informed her journey as she evolves - both personally and professionally.
