Put Down Your Stones
from GHRITS · host Mindy
Put Down Your Stones Before we judge, condemn, or seek to hurt someone else, we need to remember the words of Jesus: “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” — John 8:7 In this episode of the GHRITS Podcast, we talk about forgiveness, guilt, shame, grace, and learning to put down the stones we’ve been carrying. Your past does not have to become your future. Your hardest valleys can shape you into a stronger, wiser, and more compassionate person. Forgiveness doesn’t mean there are no boundaries or consequences. It means refusing to let bitterness, anger, or hurt control who you become. Before you throw the stone, remember: that person is somebody’s loved one. Somebody’s mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, grandmother, grandfather, or friend. And sometimes the stone we need to put down isn’t meant for someone else. Sometimes it’s the guilt and shame we keep throwing at ourselves. Put down your stones. Choose grace. Choose forgiveness. Keep moving forward. Your past does not define your future. God can use every valley, every lesson, and every hardship to shape who you are becoming. #GHRITS #PutDownYourStones #Forgiveness #Grace #Faith #UnstuckToUnstoppable
