This week, Linda shares two committees she has joined in this legislative session: Pension, Investments, and Financial Services (PIFS), and Delivery of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The DOGE committee of which Linda is now a part is not the DOGE committee that Elon Musk is running on the federal level; instead, this is a committee that operates on a state level in Texas, and it reviews if Texas state agencies are running as efficiently as possible. Last Wednesday, the stock market was at an all time high. And then on Thursday and Friday, investors started selling off, which precipitated a sharp decline in the market. Trump’s trade war, and new tariffs, are the cause. Linda unpacks how this all went down–and advises us on what to do right now as investors. Linda also updates us on the latest in inflation.
