Q&A Sunday February 2018 - Audio
from Village Baptist Church · host Dr. Emmanuel Akognon
Pastor Emmanuel Akognon answers questions submitted by members in the monthly Question and Answer Sunday. 1. How can you tell a spiritual attack from a regular attack? Or should they all be considered spiritual attacks since the fall of man? 2. Should a person Tithe on a scholarship or grant for educational purposes? 3. I have a friend that goes to a Methodist church in San Rafael. His pastor had a gay couple that had been in his congregation for three years both men had been previously married with kids and grandchildren. One was a lawyer and they wanted to get married and wanted the pastor to marry them. He did and said that he did so because one was a lawyer and he was afraid of the church being sued. He didn't marry them the traditional way as a priest would he said he married them the way that a judge would if they had gone to the Civic Center. I believe that violated God‘s law. Is there a difference in marrying someone as a priest would versus a judge? And should the pastor have married them under the threat of being sued? And how would you handle the situation? 4. Is once saved ever saved a biblical doctrine? Can a Christian lose his/her salvation? 5. I have a Sunday Question and Answer: What is your opinion of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries?
