What do the words Sheol, Hades, and Hell actually mean in the Bible? Are they all the same place? Where did Jesus go after His death? What happens after we die? In this Sunday evening Q&A lesson, we examine the biblical terminology surrounding the realm of the dead and eternity. Through a careful study of Scripture, we explore the meanings of Sheol in the Old Testament, Hades in the New Testament, and the final place of judgment often described as Gehenna or the lake of fire.
