Diane wrote to various officials about this evidence, and had investigative reporter follow her for years, but many were shut down.       Julia Tremp - Independent Researcher  - Julie is from Ohio. She got involved after contacting Richard Leonard from NCMEC (national center for missing and exploited children) when she thought a serial pedophile from Ohio looked like the composite sketch that was related to the Wetterling case. The sketch had been shown on “The Hunt” which aired on TV in late August 2014. Although the pedophile could not be traced in the area, Julie continued to research the case and found Diane Muehlbauer’s name and decided to call her. Julie suggested they reach out to NCMEC, and Richard Leonard sent some of the 1997 information/evidence Diane and Julie sent to him to the appropriate parties in law enforcement that were assigned to the Wetterling case.
