For our first episode of 2021, we invited one of our earliest guests Ricky of Pie Dreams to join us once more to get an update on how his business is going and how the events that transpired last year have affected it. It was great to reconnect with The Piesmith himself and hear how he has continued his mission to feed the east bay and beyond, and how he has navigated the new food landscape. We talked about innovation in the pie space, pivoting to accommodate a shifting industry, and taking a piebernation when social tensions were at an all time high. Let’s face it, 2020 came with about every challenge we could have expected and 100x more, so taking a break from productivity was not only excusable, it was (and still is) encouraged.
