QGPod 86 - Actor & Film Maker Katie Austin

Katie Austin is an actor and film maker based in the bay area. Her directorial debut Aubergine is hitting the festival circuit this year, and we were thrilled  to discuss everything that led her to this exciting moment in her film career. She talked about going all in on pursuing her dream, and having to dial it back a little bit when her livelihood was at stake. You don’t always have to go for broke in the pursuit of ambitious goals, and it is ok to take a step back to reformulate your plan of attack sometimes. It’s something that myself, Katie, and probably many of you have in common, and it is nothing to be ashamed of. If you never lose sight of the target that you’re aiming for, perhaps taking a few steps to the side will offer a new perspective and give you a cleaner shot at the bullseye. Katie’s story is one of perseverance, determination, and passion for creativity and creatives alike, and it is one that we think will resonate with all of you.
