Then we slow down on the line many of us have heard in church: “I will not offer to the Lord a sacrifice which cost me nothing.” We talk about sacrificial giving, but we also refuse to reduce sacrifice to money. Sometimes the real cost is time, ego, pride, comfort, and the need to prove we are “winning.” The conversation turns practical and pointed as we look at church growth culture, program-first evangelism, and the temptation to chase numbers by shuffling believers instead of making disciples.
