Quantum Turbulence

During a future world oil shortage a scientist, researching an old idea about the potential energy contained in a vacuum (zero point energy), discovers a cheap simple method of extracting almost limitless power from literally nothing. Realizing how important his discovery is the scientist decides to file a patent application before he publishes his research. On his way to file the patent the scientist is approached by an odd stranger who seems intent on stopping the release of the new technology.
