The music of songwriter Quay Dopler is a modern day acoustic blend of rock, country, folk, and alternative. Known for his strong vocals and percussive style of guitar play, Quay has been making a name for himself regionally for 10 years as a solo acoustic performer. Influenced by strong singer/songwriters such as Patty Griffin and Damien Rice, Quay puts strong emphasis on lyrical content and song form. In his material you won’t find a watered down, cookie-cutter approach to songwriting so often seen in the modern market. As a performer he is passionate, soulful, story-telling, and commanding as he blends his own material with the great music of other artists both past and present. Quay has been fortunate to have shared stages with some of the best singer/songwriters today including: The Indigo Girls, Patty Griffin, Derek Webb, and Duncan Sheik.
