As people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour Podcast. I'm your host Raven.

I'm Rob. I'm Chad. And I'm Embit. So Doc might pop in a little bit later, and Jessica lives in Florida, and right now she's hunkering down trying not to die, so everyone wish her well.

I just love you. Also, before we get into our podcast, I'm going to give a shout out to Colin Blaine. Okay, who is Colin Blaine? Colin Blaine sent me an email asking for our autographs, and it made me feel super fancy.

So I told him I would give him a shout out. And he asked a long time ago. He assumed we could write? Yeah.

He thinks we're really smart. He thinks we're SMRT. Colin, you need to remember that my brain works on unicorn dust, so I will get you our autographs. We can put it on a picture like we're all fancy, celebrities or something, but be patient with me.

There have been supply chain issues with unicorn dust. There's a supply chain issue with some of my brain cells, so we will get this to you at some point before you die Colin. I promise. So thank you.

Thank you for making us feel fancy. We love that. Well, Raven, you guys want to talk about what you did today this morning? Yeah, I want to hear all about it.

Yeah, so I guess today's like feel fancy day. Yeah. Because Fox 13 sent me an email and I said, Hey, do you want to be on the news? And I was like, Yeah.

Yeah, I didn't have to wait for something good though. You know, I don't want to be a statistic of a murder. Yeah, that's a very valid point. They're a very bad mug shot.

Chris Hanson is going to be there. Yeah. So Fox 13 news just wanted to do, you know, they're wanting to do the little morning segments just that's spooky. And you know, starting about mid September, I think they said and our shot was today.

So we went down into the basement of Fort Douglas down into the poker room and the poker room. For those of you that aren't familiar with it is a room. They've actually kept it pretty much original. I mean, there's a few wires and a few pipes that have been placed in as plumbing came in and electricity came in.

But those are period for the time they were installed. So it's like a historical record. Exactly. And Bo, who was the curator there, you know, he says that times in the last few years people have wanted to go in and remodel that room and make it storage.

But he's like, Oh, you know, this is historical. You know, he can even point out some places on the door where prisoners etched in, you know, graffiti. But they played cards in there. And so they call it the poker room.

And there's actually a German spirit in there. We've had one of our, if you guys remember Lurch, he speaks German. He would go in there and speak German. He tried speaking a little bit of German, but what I remember from high school is pretty lame and basic.

And your Arabic wasn't of any use? No. So, how did it go today? Well, did you talk to you while you were there?

So when we first got there, Emma and I both felt it that the spirits were not happy that we were there. And we thought, Oh, this is going to be really active. We felt them standing outside the building on the front boardwalk there. And really, when we went down into the room, they were standing in the corner.

And we asked several different times and got the same answer over and over again that there's five spirits in this room. And, you know, just like toddlers, when you, you know, your toddlers say the cutest little things and the neighbor comes over and you're like, Hey, little toddlers say this cute thing so the neighbor can hear and they never say it. But they walk around saying it all day long. That's what these ghosts were doing.

It's like as soon as the camera was off, because we had what, like six, two minute segments. Yeah. As soon as the cameras were off, things were lighting up and, you know, we've got full body operations dancing across the SLS. As soon as the cameras are on, it's like nothing.

We did see one of the SLS stick figures on the, on one of the segments. Okay, good. So we finally pulled out the dowsing rod so that people didn't think we were hacks. And they worked.

They worked. But Emma, what did you feel about it? I thought your said was awesome. Well, you know, we actually did get, you know, not just SLS and dowsing rods, but we were feeling them there and the the ramp pod would not shut up until you asked it to.

Yeah. And the interesting thing is the last handful of times we've used the ramp pod, I thought it was a fake one that you just made for fun. Because it doesn't do anything. But no, you could tell they were very irritated.

And when I walked into that corner, it really started going off, you know, because that's their corner. Did not want me there at all. But when we first walked in the room, I immediately felt it and pointed right to that corner and you felt it too. They were not happy at all.

We were there at the wrong time. And it was, it was, you could feel it. It was palpable. Yeah, the feeling I got was no, ghost hunters come in the evening.

They've been up all night. And we got stuff to do and you're messing it up. Yep. But you know what?

We were unexpected, but I think that might have stirred things up. Yep. I was like, yeah, I don't care. Yep.

Well, the second we did get some evidence for the camera. So that was good. What time of the day were you there? So we had two segments an hour from seven o'clock to ten o'clock.

And then they recorded one that they showed in the evening about 440. And if you go to Fox13now.com, they said give them a day or two. I mean, by the time you hear this, it should be up. Yeah, but like on your Roku or those kinds of things.

Or on the app or on the website. We were there quite a while. We were there from like 6.30 till 10 a.m. Something like that.

Yeah. So they also said that one of the record, well, I mean, they're all recorded now. But they said they were showing me again on Sunday, I think. Wasn't it Saturday or Sunday?

I think yeah, something like that. You might see us again. Anyway, even if you're not in Utah, you can still pull up that website and give us a look. We're linked to it.

All right. Now we tell you not to look at the camera. So then I'm watching some stuff that Chatted recorded and the people are looking at the camera and interacting with the camera. And I'm just staring at the IC as I can say to my face.

I'm new at live TV. It was scary. I was afraid. You did.

I'm sure you did. Okay. Moving on to the business. All right.

We have some upcoming events. It's the first part of October. We've got lots of things for spooky season. Okay.

It is. Okay. Let me tell you about that. I just got a request for a residential literally like half an hour ago.

And I said, yeah, we can come over. What, you know, what day works for you? And most people are like, Oh, Wednesday or Tuesday or whatever. This lady's like, can you come on a Saturday?

And I was like, No, not in October. I was nice at that. I was tactful. I was like, No, not in October.

Not a football van. Literally every Saturday. There's either a football game or go. So sorry.

Okay. So to validate that Thursday, October 13th, we have a library presentation at the Central Park Community Center. And that's at 2531 South 400 East in Salt Lake. On Friday, October 14th, we have a library presentation at the Chapman Library.

And that's at 577 South 900 West in Salt Lake City. On Friday, October 21st, we have a library presentation at the American Fork Library. And that's 64 South 100 East American Fork Utah. Saturday, October 22nd, we have an investigation.

Excited about this. This is going to be. A cemetery in Ogden and go out to Advanced Paranormal and get your tickets there or event bright and get your tickets there. Advanced Paranormal.com.

Yep. And if you went to this with us two years ago, we usually, and we will again, have a really cool door prize. And it's amazing what people do to win these really cool door prizes. And if you know me, I pick them out and I don't do a cute seat.

It's going to be creepy. It's going to be scary. Last time it was a dancing creepy doll. And we had a little contest for it.

And I had to buy two because I needed one home. Yeah, I know. Yeah. Yeah.

I can't wait to see what it is this year. I'm not going to do this. So I can't wait. And I've heard this is just an amazing venue too.

I've never been there. But I've heard good things. You will love it fantastic. Yeah.

It's acres and acres. And it was beautiful the night we went. And just a really, really fun, fun location. Yeah.

Wait. Wednesday, October 26th, we have another library presentation at the Springville Library. That's 45 South Main in Springville. And then on Saturday, October 29th, we have the Dead Talks, a Paranormal Experience.

That's a presentation and an investigation at the Town Hub Theater in American Fork. That's 120 West Main Street, American Fork Utah. We did one of these at the beginning of September and were requested to do another one. It was a very well received presentation and investigation.

It was a lot of cool. It was a lot of fun. Yeah. So they've asked for an on-court presentation.

And then the Indian Hills Horror of Re-Residential Hunt at 2817 West, 950 North in Provo will be going on Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th from the West. And then on Saturday, October 29th from 8pm to 11pm. And on Monday, October 31st from 8pm to 10pm. That's Halloween.

And I'm just going to throw a little caveat. It is free. They do not expect any donations. They literally do it because they enjoy it.

But if you were to throw a couple dollars tip for them, it would be well worth it. They do have a donations jar and they put an awful lot of effort and money into getting this hunt so that it's spectacular. And they're going to go in a area or appreciated very much. Yeah.

And to my knowledge, I think they've already started putting it up. Oh, yeah. They have. So I mean, they put literally an entire month or more into it.

So they start the plans in August on designing what they're going to do. So that's what we've got for our business. Business has been brought to you by Castle Photo Art and Castle Nature Studio. So for all of your photo needs, let's go out and support Castle as he supports us.

All right. Well, off to our residential and, well, we haven't had any residential. Well, but I've been kind of... I've been out on medical quite a bit, so if there have been, I've missed them too.

We actually had a residential and I was unable to go to it. And so a couple of our other investigators went. And I sent them a text and said, Hey, let's know how it goes so I can talk about it on the podcast. And she's got small children at home and I'm trying to do kind of too much right now.

And between the two of us, we never touched base. So yeah, we had a residential. It was cool. We have no information about it.

I'm like... Say, but for another ship? All right. We'll find out about it in the next podcast.

I'm sure you've seen it quite well. By the next podcast, we'll actually have three because we'll have this one that none of us know anything about. We've got one coming up this Friday, actually. It's an afternoon one.

And then this one that I told her, No, he can't do it on Saturday because... There are no Saturdays available until after Halloween. Unless you want us to come over at 3am and I'm not feeling that right now. Anyway, so we do have residential.

We just don't know what I think about them right now. All right. Well, next time we'll have plenty to share. Oh.

So the residential that we didn't have were brought to you by Otayo's restaurant. They do find Mexican food. If you're watching on the YouTube, take a look at those platters above. They're delicious.

Okay. And for those of you that listen on a regular basis, you think kind of what you can do. You think you know what I'm going to say. We didn't get there again.

False. False. My siblings and I are getting together to discuss a Christmas present that we're doing for my parents, which I can't tell you. In case my parents are actually listening to this, which I haven't really done.

But you never know. This is the one they would listen to. And we're trying to decide a restaurant to go to to meet. So I'm going to be there.

You're doing Otayo's for the meeting, please. Yes, on Saturday. All right. So, wait to support.

I don't. So see? Is it just the siblings or the siblings on their spouses? Just siblings.

Yeah, thanks. It's a lot. But Otayo's a terrific. So maybe I'm just going to say maybe I'll bring you something.

Main topic. So I was a little confused because every time I print out an agenda, just, you know, this isn't scripted as you can tell by the way I talk. You're like, no, duh, Sherlock. So we do have a bullet point, so we have a bullet point so that we're kind of, so that we seem like we got it together.

And I was looking at it going, that's not our main topic. So I know I was doing the same thing. I was like, I don't know. Oh, that was last.

I had a little blast. I was like, what? So I'm not always good at updating the agenda. It's very good.

Is that the unicorn dust issue again? I know. I was so concerned about getting Colin on their history. You're using substitute unicorn dust.

You need the real stuff. No, don't use the cheap stuff folks. No generic. So it is October and it is Halloween.

And every Halloween we try to kind of focus on some Halloweeny spooky thing. Not that we don't kind of do that through most of the rest of the year. But you know, it's usually some more, oh my word. We need a new chat.

You're broken. I don't know, just something that's a little extra. So this month it's spooky ships. Spooky ships.

I read some ghosts because I don't know. I thought you might have said something else without the P. Chip? Like what does spooky shit?

I purposely didn't say shit like a few sentences ago and now I've said it twice. See what you've done? I just want to know what spooky shit is. I don't think we want to know what spooky shit is.

Okay, so no, just for me when it comes to ghosts, I think one of the people say what is it about ghosts that got you interested in ghost hunting? I don't know. There wasn't like a pivotal moment. But I do think that shipwrecks and ghosts walking the shores, waiting for their loved one to return from the sunken pirate ship was probably one of my first ghosts thoughts.

So to me, ghost shipwrecks. There's so many like shipwrecks in, you know, Pays in Utah. I can understand that. We do have movies.

We watch movies. I don't know. To me, they just seems extra Halloween- Pirates of the Caribbean. Pirates of Utah, Lake.

Okay. We are so off the subject. Did you know that you can play the thing for Pirates of the Caribbean on backpipes? Okay.

I got to do that. Okay. Anyway, back to our main topic. We're going to talk about the Queen Mary.

Not the Queen Mary. The Queen Mary. The ship. And I've been there.

I have been there also. Okay. We got here. Did you stay in the hotel?

No, we didn't. But we walked around in. I've actually been there a couple of times. So going back to bagpipes, they actually have a bagpipe competition there.

I don't know if they've had it since COVID, but I think they have. I think they started back up. Anyway, so I've been there several times for a bagpipe competition. And it's a hotel now.

I mean, it's just, it's just docked the long beach, California. And then you can just go wander around. I don't like you to go wander around in a hotel. And so I went, and I had, you know, so I was in my kilt.

And I took, you know, just kind of snuck on a key too. I didn't take all my stuff. And I wandered around and no dowsing rocks. I didn't have dowsing rocks.

I didn't have dowsing rocks. I didn't know about dowsing rocks at the time. This was a lot. And then, you know, if you know me, I'm just slightly irreverent sometimes.

And if you put do not enter on something, I want to know why. And I will enter because I want to find out why. So there were places on there that's like, don't go past this rope. I'm like, oh yeah, watch me.

And so I went over the rope. And I don't go far. I don't push that envelope too far. But I push a little bit.

Right? Chad? I don't like how you said that. What was behind that answer?

I don't like that tone. I don't. So, you know, let's just do not go past this door. I'm like, okay, doors unlocked.

You don't want me to go there. Lock it. So I wandered down there just a little bit. You do have some, some limitations on how far you'll go.

I have a little coos. I'm not completely uncouth. I agree. Okay.

Anyway, but I didn't wander around too far. And I felt a little bit weird. I don't know. How can you not wander around too far on that?

Because it said do not enter. So you don't want to be down there too far. When does that ever stop? Go to jail.

I know. I just want to go away. Because you can always play a little bit. Oh, I didn't see that.

Don't trespass people. We're telling you it's, you know, always get permission. But I don't know. Sometimes we do sneak under the ropes.

I don't ever full on trespass. Right? I'll, I'll steal my toe in the water. I don't jump all the way in.

But I'll test it and see how warm it is. I'll go behind the ropes. So no, if I do it, it's just like a step or two. It's just I'll put my head around or something.

But I put my head around. I wave my K2 meter around and ask a few questions. If I remember right, I do think I got a couple EVPs. I'll have to see if I can find them.

Anyway, let's talk about the ship, not about me being. Semi-ereverant. Okay, the ship. It's big.

It's about twice as big as the Titanic. It's about a thousand feet long. Time magazine has it as one of the top 10 most haunted places in the United States. So it's pretty haunted.

And it's actually almost more known for being haunted than any of its history. And that's history is kind of amazing. So who haunts? Who haunts the ship?

Pretty much everybody. Everybody. Passengers, owners, people. Passers through.

Passers through. Passers through. Passers through. Passers through.

Passers through. Passers through. Passers through. So let's just kind of talk about some of the facts about it first.

It was a premium ocean liner. It's settled in the North Atlantic. A thousand feet long, it was supposedly faster. It was a fast-asship in its era.

It was faster and more powerful and bigger than the Titanic. A thousand feet long, did I say that? Okay, I said it again. Almost a fifth of a mile.

And what year was it built? So it started in 1930. It was when they first started, you know, like... You're the only way down the keel.

Yeah, that's how it started. I was going to say it started to build it. But then the depression came. And with the depression it kind of held up construction for several years.

And so they started it back up in about 1931 to 1934. And then its maiden voyage was 1936. And it went from Southampton, England to Cherbourg, France, and then to New York. And when did the Titanic go?

So was this before? 1912. April 14th. I remember that because it's my son's birthday.

I mean, he was born in 1912. Okay, so this is like 20 years after. Yeah, the Titanic was pre-war and this was post-war. Well, this was actually post-when you say were almost like.

It was right before World War II. And it actually did a lot of stuff in World War II. Which is why the fact that it's most known for being haunted over shadows when it did in World War II. Yeah, it was conscripted and used for troop transport wasn't it?

And horses and such. Yeah, no it ferried troops back and forth. They painted it gray because its original colors was like the Titanic. It's black with the white and the red stripes.

Yeah, pretty civilian colors. You know, pretty outstanding. You know, it's made to pop so people can see it because it's part of your advertising. advertising, you got to have your ship look really cool.

Right, but for the war they wanted it to kind of hide because they don't have to stand out. So they painted it gray and they actually called it the gray ghost, which I think was a little foreshadowing there. But at Fairy Troops, I've got so many of those. It's crazy.

Yeah, one of the stories or things about it was it was so fast it could outrun all of its escort ships and those kinds of things. You know, because it had been built as an ocean liner to get people, you know, very wealthy people across the Atlantic as quickly as possible in the day before air travel was really a main thing. So that's how the wealthy traveled and that ship was extremely fast. Your choice was an electric liner or a Zeppelin?

Yeah, and I mean the elite thought that this was the only civilized way to travel. And so the people that were on the ship were people like the Duke and Tetris of Windsor, Greta Garbo, Clark Gable, Mary Pickford, Winston Churchill. I mean, if you had money, this is the way you traveled. There was no other way.

So, you know, it was very, very elite. And like any ship, you know, you watch Titanic, there's the first class, second class, third class. You know, and the ship was no different. There was third class quarters, which is where I would have been.

I've been there the time. But the interesting thing is when it's World War II days, it set a record for carrying the most people in World War II, which was 16,683. And one, two, one crossing? In one crossing.

Wow. Yep. It participated in the D-Day invasion and had a significant role in virtually every allied campaign. So it was one of the major ships that they used.

And partly because it was fast, because it was large, you know, had a huge carrying capacity. Yeah, lots and lots of people. Yep. And then there were two villages that they called, Brides and Baby Voyages, because it transported, had 13 of these voyages, and in 13 of these voyages, they transported 22,000 war brides and children from Europe to America, to the United States and Canada.

And those all took place in 1946. Wow. Yeah, you don't think about that. But you know, you've got young men away from home and you know, you're going to have marriages and babies and people falling in love.

That's quite amazing. And then bringing, you know, the war brides back with them. Yep. In 1947, after the war, after they get all the brides and babies, you know, here in Canada, they started the cruises again.

And it was, you know, once again, a big cruise ship. You know, people, you know, glad that the war's over. They can start doing cruises again, you know, because they've got the time. They've got the funds.

Yeah. Just during the war, there was one story. I don't know if you're going to touch on this later or not, but it was, there was an escort ship that was in front of it. And it was going, and the Queen Mary actually ran over this escort ship and broke it in kind of...

Wow. Because, you know, it had, you know, thousands and thousands of people on the ship, it couldn't drop to wait, you know, to look for survivors on the ship. Most of the people on that ship that it hit actually died. It literally cut the ship in half.

Many of the people got thrown in under the wake, and it was two or three hours before other ships were able to get to that ship. Yeah. I actually read an article about that and it said that per protocol, and if someone knows more about protocol, then you can correct me if I'm wrong. And we'll air that correction.

But they determined that with everything that went on, it would be safer just to let it go, because if they had stopped, they would actually put more people at any point. Oh, yes. A submarine could have got them and sunk the ship and lost literally thousands and thousands of lives rather than the hundred or the few hundred that were on this other ship. It's a tragedy, but this is one of the areas they say is very wanted, is that bow area that hit that other ship.

That's one of those really, really hot spots. Yeah, so that could be some of the 150 plus spirits that haunt this hotel. So it starts, you know, the cruise is again after the war in 1947. And in the 60s, as air travel became more popular, cruising, especially cross Atlantic.

Yeah, when you can get across the ocean in five or six hours or seven hours rather than three days, four days. Right. I mean, cruises are still very popular. The parents go on a cruise every year, but if they're going to go on a Mediterranean cruise or cruise around England, they fly there and then hop on the ship and just tool around the coast, right?

In, they're not right, they're down. So Long Beach actually bought the Queen Mary. Do you know how much they bought her for? No.

They bought her for $34 worth of beads. Not quite that good of a deal. That's something to get. $3.45 million.

And she is permanently birthed, is that the right word? Mm-hmm. Permanently birthed in Long Beach, California. Okay, that scared the absolute living crap out of me.

Ah! It took you long enough. Oh, I can't. She's been holding it there for five minutes.

Ah, okay. So, okay. So if you're listening, Rogan and Zoomin, actually, we Google Meet-in now because ZoomSucks, they're in their studio and I don't see them. I see these psychedelic mushrooms.

They're very cool, by the way. Anyway, and since I don't see them, I don't look at the screen. We have a new layout where it opposite ends of a table with only one camera, so it's aimed right in the middle. Yeah.

So I don't look at the screen because I don't see them, right? I mean, occasionally it's like, oh, look at those pretty mushrooms. But I look over and there's like this Sasquatch with his arms out. Right.

Okay, I'm okay. Everything's okay. Back to the Queen Mary. I was classic.

We just had to look, give a little sidebar, shiny thing. Squirrel. We're in a new studio down here, so we have some fun stuff. So anyway, so let's talk about the ghosts because this isn't the History Channel.

Ghosts, plural. Ghosts, there are many. As you are probably not surprised, some of the things that are reported are creaking of doors, knocks, sudden squeals, laughter, people talking and whistling and empty rooms, lights being switched off and on. Yeah, yes.

It's a little late, but we're there. You know, so I mean, nothing there is atypical of the haunting, right? But the thing that kind of stands out is the stories that, you know, the crew and the staff of the Queen Mary get are so regular. You know, it's not like, oh, just a one-off story here and there.

I mean, they hear the same stories, the same evidence. I don't want to say complaints, but the same, they get the same evidence, you know, told them over and over and over again. It just kind of leads to the credibility. If you try to say lead, the credibility at the same time is a lead.

It lends to the credibility of these hauntings because they just hear it over and over again. It's not like they're hearing, you know, thousands of different stories from those different stories. The same thing is happening in the same parts of the ship over and over. They're certainly being white.

Yes, yes, there is. Yeah, they're hearing the same, I don't know, 25 stories from thousands and thousands of people from that time. That's good. Confirm it.

So should we talk about some of these actual ones? What are those amazing stories? We have so many. You ready?

Yeah. You guys have any, you want, you got, I don't have a list. Well, you know, I know a famous researcher, I can't remember his name now. He actually spent like 20 years or something researching the paranormal on the boat.

And his name is escaping me. I'm having a senior moment. No, no, Emmet, you're having a silver. A silver ball, silver alert.

Anyway, go on. It's fascinating. Okay, so maybe we'll get to it because there's a bunch of stories. There's really a whole lot.

Here's a couple. I miss some of the evidence. There's drastic temperature changes at certain parts of the ship, particularly near the second class pool. There's a certain state room and there's a shaft alley and there's like an adjacent bathroom to the shaft alley where they will fill the second class gets a pool.

Wow. Yeah. A lot of people will Odex. Does it clean?

Probably below deck. Yeah, I actually saw some videos on YouTube's on the pool in the different area. That's quite a haunted area. In fact, one that I will share the curators, one of the curators of the Queen Mary.

He'd actually been on the Titanic there and he said he'd spent a lot of time with Titanic and Titanic artifacts and everything else. And he said he'd never had any kind of haunting weird paranormal kinds of things with all the artifacts that he'd been around for years researching. And he said, came to the Queen Mary and he said he had three very distinct situations where there was paranormal. And he said, the one that was just really vivid to him.

He said, this would have been in the late 70s, early 80s. And he was at the pool and he had turned the corner and there was a woman blonde with iron 1960s hair, kind of 1960s clothing coming up the stairs and he was going to ask, you know, she needed or whatever. And he went past the pillar and went around the pillar. There was no one there.

And he said there was no way for anybody to be gone. And he thought about it. He goes, the clothing was out of, you know, wasn't right. And he goes, and they were like the linoleum or the marble stairs going up.

And he goes, there was no sound. And it hit him afterwards that that was an apparition. But he said it wasn't, you know, ghostly. He said it was full solid.

You know, he thought it was a woman that was wearing out of fashion clothing, you know, from like the mid 60s, kind of hippie 60s. And this was more in the disco era. Yeah, that is actually one of the phenomenon that happens there. I'm going to come back to that really quick in the state room.

It says that there's a smell like cigars and sometimes perfume. So those are, but the other thing, the last thing that I wanted to talk about just a little bit more because there's a little more information about it is one thing that many, many people say is that it's almost like they're transported back in time and they will recreate, you know, and it's not very long. You know, just a few seconds, but like that, just a couple moments in time where they see people as though they are there, you know, and several people said, yeah, we thought it was like a reenactment, but then we would turn and everything would be gone. And so there's some sort of, you know, if it's ghosts, I don't know if it's, you know, paranormal as far as the spirit or if it's some sort of a funky time portal that people.

So it's just people or entire scenes of banish. Both. The same guy. I've seen the people that are when you see them and then you look back and they're gone.

I've seen that. I've never seen an entire scene vanish. This is really my new movie. Do you know what I'm thinking about?

No. No. They're shining. So what did they make?

There's a bar scene. There's a bar scene. Ghost ship. Ghost ship was an interesting movie.

That's probably the one you're thinking of. I really got it for the most. Where it was from back in the 1950s or 1960s. Yeah, I think so.

And they were salvaging the ship. The Ghost ship had all this gold on it. It's very, very interesting movie. No, it only had.

So the one where they were all the people were cut in half. Yes. Yeah, that was Ghost ship. Yeah.

That's all I got about it. I'm not talking about it anymore. Oh, that was a great scene. So they're all dancing.

Yeah. In the late 1950s, you know, dancing out on the ship and one of the wires that's under tension breaks loose and just literally cut everybody in half. It was quite a scene. So if you ever want to see a really gory bloody ship ghost scene death scene, Ghost ship has got it.

And just to clarify, talking about this movie has nothing to do with the Queen Mary. That was my squirrel moment. You were talking about spooky ghosty ships. But this didn't happen on the Queen Mary.

No, this did not happen on the Queen Mary. It was nautical. But it's nautical. And it's about Ghost ships.

It's a remotely apropos sidebar. This is what happens when you talk with Raven. You go off on 800 tangents. Okay.

Back to the Queen Mary. There was a fellow named Captain Treasure Jones. And I'm sorry. That is a cool name.

Treasure Jones. Captain Treasure Jones. That's Indiana Jones brother. Right.

His nautical brother. Anyway, he was stationed on the Queen Mary from 1965 to 1967. He died at the age of 87. He just kind of normally, I mean, not tragically or anything, in 1993.

But I guess he really just loved his job and loved the ship. And he smokes cigars all the time. So a lot of people think that the cigar smoke that they smell in the state room is kind of just kind of visiting and hanging out. Well, obviously, there's no smoking allowed there anymore, right?

So it must be a paranormal nature. Yep. So if you ever, on the Queen Mary and you smell cigar smoke, it's probably just a treasure. Probably better than Captain Treasure.

One of the ones that gets talked about a lot is a crewman that he has seen in blue cover alls that he has a beard. And there's a well-known incident of a fireman. As your researcher that says there were two people that were crushed by this water door, watertight door. On compartment 13.

And it actually, in door 13, it was used in the film, Poseidon Adventure. Oh. You can see this. But the one that they named, I couldn't find the name of the second person, but they do name one.

His name is John Henry. He was 18 years old and he was crushed by the store in 1966. They were having a drill and just the drill went poorly. And he was killed, crushed in that watertight door.

And he haunts that doorway. He will run behind people in Whistle, almost like he's trying to warn them. And sometimes he will walk up to people and ask if they've seen his ranch. And when people, you know, some comes up behind you and talks to you and kind of see him out of the corner of your eye.

You know, people will turn to say, no, I haven't seen a ranch and he's gone. He'll hang out in, like the maintenance area that he worked in behind that watertight door. And so he'll kind of hang out in both of those areas. One of the things around the pool, and I think this was, unless I remember wrong, remember kind of a rough day from my brain today, there's wet footprints that they will find.

And the thing about these wet footprints by the pool. Yeah. And I thought it said the third-class pool. I think third-class had a pool too.

But it was either by the first or second-class pool. These footprints. Third-class was just a pond. It was really.

And just kind of a low point in the. Right. And then they could splash around to the bottom of the ship. Mm-hmm, puddle.

But they don't have water in those pools anymore. So it's not like, oh, someone got out and we just didn't see them swimming. There's no water in those pools. But people will see wet footprints as though someone has gotten out of the pool.

And you got out the stairs? You got out the stairs. That's a lot of people see that. In fact, it says, I will read you my notes verbatim.

Appearance of wet footprints when no swimming activity is possible, often mentioned. This is one of those, you know, that people are always talking about, oh, yes, I'm wet footprints. So there's a state room. We talked about the state room earlier.

The number of the state room is B 340. And stuff happens in there to the staff and people that have stayed there so frequently that staff refuse to go inside. And like the current, I guess there's a current captain of the ship, even though it's a hotel. He will not go inside of this, of the state room.

So in 1967, they actually took three third-class rooms and renovated it to make B 340. And it was after this renovation that weird things started to happen. The thing about researching is you research several different websites and one will just give you a tidbit and then you'll go to another one and it gives you more tidbits and some might not just jump all over the place. So as far as the state room, B 340, the story says that back in the 60s, the state room is the staff locked a man in one of these third-class cabins after he murdered two women.

And during the night, he's beating on the door, screaming that something's in the room with him, right? And he's locked in there because he's a murderer and they don't want him wandering around the ship. And there's people outside the door kind of keeping an eye on it and they're like, yeah, whatever. And we're not letting you out because we don't want you killing more people.

But he's screaming and screaming. There's something in here with me. And then he, you know, stopped and they're like, oh, finally, you know, he went to sleep or whatever. And in the morning, they opened the door, you know, I don't know, getting food or whatever.

And they said when they opened the door, he was dead. Not as dead, but he was dead, mingled and torn apart. Interesting. Yeah.

So I thought, oh, not screaming. Killing yourself is one thing. Tearing yourself apart afterwards is more difficult. That takes talent.

How do you do that? Yeah, yeah, you don't. One woman said that the blankets were written off of her in the middle of the night and there was a man looming over her at the end of the bed. And so many reports of creepy things happening in room B340 that they actually closed it to the public for 30 years.

They reopened it in 2018 as a haunted attraction. And if you go there and rent B340, the key comes with a fierce warning. And like I said before, the current captain refuses to enter that room. He's like, nope, I'm out.

So you can't stay in there if you want, but you get a fierce warning. And if you wake up all torn apart, I warn you. There are some YouTube videos about that room. I watched a couple of those and quite interesting.

So yeah, you know, and it is rented out as a paranormal attraction. Not, you know, it's not. So did anybody stay there? Do we get recordings of people staying there?
