Queen of Hearts: Lupercalia & The Bloody Roots of Valentine’s | Fertility, Purification & Natural Order (Feb 13, 2026)

In this episode of The Secret Teachings, Ryan Gable explores the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia and its modern evolution into Valentine’s Day. While contemporary society often paints the animal sacrifices and "bloody strips" of Lupercalia as dark or satanic, Ryan decodes why these rites were actually the ultimate defense of the natural order. We examine how sympathetic magic was used to ensure the continuity of childbirth, bountiful harvests, and the purification of the home and community. The program bridges the gap between ancient fertility symbols, such as the goat, and their direct application to success in fields, business, and family. By looking at Lupercalia as part of a global tradition of spring cleansing, we strip away the modern stigma to reveal a foundation of fresh starts and the raw, vital energy required to maintain the cycle of life. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements.
