In which the towering North Mountains, shaped like immense stairways, conceal a mysterious people known as the Roly-Rogues, whose round, elastic bodies allow them to roll rather than walk. Upon glimpsing the distant city of Nole below, these quarrelsome creatures decide to leave their cloud-enshrouded home and descend in great numbers, preparing for a bold encounter with the unknown valley beneath.
