Queer Poem-a-Day Lineage Edition: Maggie Millner

Maggie Millner reads a poem by Adrienne Rich and Section 2.9 from Millner's new book Couplets. Queer Poem-a-Day Lineage Edition is our new format for year three! Featuring contemporary LGBTQIA+ poets reading a poem by an LGBTQIA+ writer of the past, followed by an original poem of their own.  Maggie Millner is the author of Couplets (FSG, 2023). Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The Nation, BOMB, Kenyon Review, Poetry, and elsewhere. She is currently a senior editor at The Yale Review and a lecturer in writing at Yale. Music for this third year of our series is AIDS Ward Scherzo by Robert Savage, performed by pianist Daniel Baer.
