from Query & Company · host 93.5 & 107.5 The Fan

(00:00-23:28) – Greg Rakestraw opens the show by pointing out Jake is at the rookie celebration before calling this the “receding hairline” version of the show with Caleb filling in for Eddie. He previews the guests lined up for the show before a discussion on Indianapolis being ranked as the third best sports business city. He talks about how Indy has become the epicenter of sports in a lot of ways. How should Pacers fans feel after watching the Spurs and Thunder play last night? How do they stack up the teams in the western conference? (23:29-40:32) – Greg touches on an ad he heard while doing qualifying this weekend and how it relates to JMV’s show and how young the San Antonio Spurs starting lineup is. Then, he gets into the Colts schedule to release video and commends the Colts for poking fun at themselves.   (40:32-47:13) – Greg touches on the actual Colts schedule and why we should be more worried about what’s in their locker room rather than what’s in the other team’s locker room.   (47:13-1:15:15) – ESPN’s Stephen Holder joins and Greg hits him with a sarcastic breaking news alert about a start time for a Colts preseason game changing. Stephen then talks about how the Colts prefer a late-bye week and how teams are going to have to make that decision in the future. Plus, what is the safety position looking like and what do the Colts still need to add?  (1:15:15-1:27:51) – Two-time Indy 500 champion Al Unser Jr. Joins to reflect on his win in ‘92. He talks about not having an Andretti, Foyt or Unser racing in the 500 this year, his mentors growing up, what his week looks like before race week and who he feels like has a real chance to win the Indy 500. What comes to mind when he thinks about Alex Palou?  (1:27:51-1:34:23) –  Clustertruck is here with their delivery, we take a caller who has a question on high school NIL and Greg opines on where things go from here.   (1:34:23-1:57:47) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files was in the pits during Indy 500 practice and he talks about what it was like to have qualifying crammed into one day. Then, he was at Indiana Fever practice this morning and reports on Aliyah Boston, who is trying to return from an ankle injury she sustained in the Unrivaled league this winter. How is Caitlin Clark playing, his thoughts on game 1 of the Western Conference Finals last night and how the Pacers could matchup with each of them. Who could be targeted in the offseason for the Pacers or will they stand pat? Greg runs through the responsibilities of everyone in the 500.  (1:57:47-2:08:27) – Greg talks about some sports controversies in hockey and in English soccer before JMV joins a segment early for the crossover!  (2:08:27-2:21:50) – Today’s show ends with a replay of our conversation with Al Unser Jr.! Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
