Anneke Lucas was born in Belgium, where she was sold into a sex trafficking ring at age 6. After publishing her first book, The Deaf Musician, in her native Dutch, and writing many articles on trauma and yoga, she founded Liberation Prison Yoga to bring healing into the American prison system, from the inside out, while working on her memoir. The author's decades-long journey from girl victim to liberated woman has inspired all who cross her path.
