Questions Jesus Asks: Love Your Enemies

On Sunday, we jumped back into our summer series looking at what we believe are some of the most important questions Jesus asks. This week, we looked at the question Jesus asks in Luke 6v32, “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?”   With this question, Jesus is getting at the foundation of what it means to be a Christian. Because of the blood of Jesus, we live in a new reality. His blood made a way for us to receive God’s unconditional love, and freely give it away. It is only from this place of being rooted in God’s love that we can reject offense, offer forgiveness, and truly love one another.
