They allege that Newman is a witness for the Motion for New Trial because of Clerk of Court Becky’s behavior, which he is aware of. That motion revolves around alleged jury tampering. For the remaining Murdaugh cases, they claim Judge Newman has expressed his opinion regarding Murdaugh’s guilt, which violates Murdaugh's right to a fair and impartial trial.
