Alex Murdaugh was sentenced to 40 years in prison and ordered to pay over $8.7 million in restitution for federal financial crimes. This is in addition to the two life sentences for the murder of his wife and son and 27 years in prison for state financial crimes. Bryan Kohberger had a new hearing because his lawyers were surveying the residents of Latah County via telephone without the court's knowledge. The prosecution revealed the questions that were asked to the citizens as they believed it violated the non-dissemination order. The judge scheduled a hearing for Wednesday, April 4th to see if they can draft better questions for a new survey.
