i meant to say something important, something true the light falls soft the little things we do but words just stop the thought becomes a quiet room silence waits for something to bloom air grows heavy the phrase just breaks in two a promise lost a simple joke for listening thank you for staying when you could’ve slipped away light fades slow the screen grows dim thank you for tuning in letting my small voice get under your skin i was just a thought a melody, a hope a little conversation at the end of a long rope thank you for joining sitting with the silence, staying out of the fuss though it’s over the final notes have been played i’m so glad we spent this time a memory we made
