He is also the former Girls & Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Liberty High School. In 2011 Coach Lester took the girls varsity team at Liberty to their first every state championship game and the team went 28-2. On that team he coached Amanda Delgado who won the Nevada Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Delgado went on to play basketball at the University of Oregon.
