There have been a few cases of people quitting their jobs to become princesses. In most cases, these people were already related to royalty in some way, but they had chosen to live a normal life until they decided to pursue their royal heritage. One of the most famous examples of someone quitting to become a princess is Lady Gabriella Windsor. Lady Gabriella is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and she was working as a communications director for a fashion brand when she decided to become a princess. She renounced her British citizenship and converted to Roman Catholicism in order to marry her Italian husband, Thomas Kingston. Another example is Marie Astrid of Luxembourg. Marie Astrid is the daughter of Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg, and she was working as a lawyer when she decided to become a princess. She renounced her Luxembourgian citizenship and married Prince Félix of Luxembourg. In both of these cases, the women who quit their jobs to become princesses did so because they felt a strong connection to their royal heritage. They may have also felt that they could make a greater impact on the world by using their royal status to promote good causes. Of course, there are also some people who have quit their jobs to become princesses for more frivolous reasons. In 2011, a British woman named Rachel Bradley quit her job as a waitress to become a princess in the tiny African kingdom of Swaziland. Bradley claimed that she had fallen in love with the king of Swaziland, but her story was later revealed to be a hoax. Whether or not someone's decision to quit their job to become a princess is a wise one is a matter of opinion. However, there is no doubt that these women have made a significant change in their lives.
