R.I.P. Dave Mason

from CiTR -- The Saturday Edge · host CiTR & Discorder Magazine

I was abducted by aliens and transported back to March 7th. When I pleaded with them that I had no desire to relive the past few weeks since Dementia Donny attacked Iran they relented and brought me back. So The Saturday Edge On Folk ran half an hour late and ran half an hour late to 12:30pm today. Phew, what a trip! Thanks to Ciara and Jasper (their earthly names) for bringing me back! This allowed me to pay tribute to English guitarist / songwriter and founder member of Traffic, Dave Mason, who died this week. Until his obituary came out I did not realize he played the acoustic guitar which drove Jimi Hendrix' great cover of Dylan's All Along The Watchtower all those years ago. Also featured lots of new music and an extended sample of Irish trad from the great Dervish, who play in town tomorrow.
