Reddit rSlash Storytime maliciouscompliance Dad teased me about losing a tool that he lost, and I've replaced it as of today, 52 times. Dad was overworking himself to the point of fainting for a company as a mechanic. He was getting paid s*** for it too. Company dangled a s****y raise in front of him and took it away for someone else’s mistake. They told him “he can just leave” if he doesn’t like it during the height of lockdown, thinking he would back down. He simply said “okay” and left, never looked back. Got hired that day by previous manager who had been asking him to come to his company. Much better environment, grew within the company, and makes double what he used to compared to the company he was with for seven years. Wanted to post this to commemorate my dad because it’s Father’s Day and I love him. Manager asks for sandwich with jelly on top, so I make it physically on top of the sandwich and he can’t stop laughing oh, is that what I said? As You Wish Hosted on Acast.
