r/Relationships MY MOM HATED MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT! - Reddit Stories
from Storytime
Reddit rSlash Storytime r relationships where how can I decline to pitch in to get my friend an expensive bday present when I decided to not gift her anything this year? Is there a way to do this without being rude or lying? GF met my friend group, asked me if I had a past with any of the women and I said 3. She finds it gross and is reconsidering our relationship. My friend was paralyzed waist down in a climbing accident and its hard for me to see him because i have PTSD from witnessing it. Want to know how to talk about it with him. I worked overnight shift at emergency pet hospital. Fiancé & I immediately drove to aunts house for a party and I barely got any sleep in the car. While there, I exchanged some conversation, listened to people talk, and got to a point where I was so tired that my eyes wouldn’t stay open so I sat on the couch for some time. I am a natural wallflower, and have social anxiety on top of that. I am not a big talker anyways. They were aware of the long night I had. A day later, his aunt sends fiancé a message saying how rude I acted, and “I am saying this out of love. She is NOT for you.” Fiancé submitted to his aunt and told her how embarrassed he was. I wasn’t rude to anyone, and kept a smile on my face, but it can be hard when you worked overnight, got 2 hours of sleep and also have social anxiety. Wife might not be able to go to family trip but I want to go anyway. Haven't seen my family in months and have only a few days to hang out with them. Hosted on Acast.
