Listen Saturday at 9AM as Doctor Will Schultz, DVM (retired)and Lee Cohen discuss the show and what it is like to breed these animals. First up is Rabbit Breeder Paul Koppin. You might assume that rabbits wouldn't be the hardest animals in nature to breed but there is more to it then you think. Paul will describe the showing of these rabbits and the proper way to care for and keep rabbits. He will also share the differences between breeds. Then to discuss Cavys, we have Lisa and Elizabeth Leibrand, a mother and daughter team that both happen to be royalty in the breeding community?!? First Elizabeth will share how she started with rabbits and evolved to Cavys the last few years. Not bad since she is 18 and started when she was 12. Lisa then shares her background and the family connection to 4-H and these animals going back generations. Learn about the different Cavys, why they are amazing to keep, some of their humorous behaviors and how they will be judged at the show. As you can see, Cavys are soft, furry and cute and you can see a bunch of them next weekend!
