Rachel Eliza Griffiths is smart, she's funny and she's kind. She's a beautiful poet and a photographer, whose black-and-white images evoke for me, Dorothea Lange. Her latest book, Promise, tells the story of two Black sisters growing up in New England during the Civil Rights movement, the story of food at the table and food in the kitchen.
