Rachel Wyche

from Lancaster Unsigned With The Taphouse

Rachel Wyche, after her acoustic folk-rock set, joins us on the show to play two of her self-penned tracks: the live-band studio recording "Something About You," made with a University of Surrey friend, and "Two Wrongs Don't Make a Right," which she recorded and produced herself in college. Wyche describes building her skills through musical theatre, self-taught guitar and piano, previous bands and gigs including opening for Professor Green at Lancaster University's Summer Ball, and playing in an eight-piece funk band during a London placement year. She cites influences including Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow and Amy Winehouse. She also discusses frequent open-mic nights, co-writing and performing duets with Joe Butler.
