Racism in Sci-Fi and Fantasy
from It’s a Fandom Thing
In this episode, Carla, from Bed, Wed or Behead podcast, and Tiff join Erin to discuss racism in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. They talk about harmful stereotypes that persist today, how important it is to not only have representation, but to have good representation, mention how gross and dehumanizing it is to describe people who are not white as being the color of food, and much, much more! We mention everything from Star Trek to The Lord of the Rings. Trigger warnings: Racism, misogynoir, sexism, and abuse.
