Racism, Racial Quotas, and the Cambridge Plagiarism Scandal

In this episode of the Get Up and Go Breakfast program on Radio Cape Pulpit, host Anton Brink speaks with Dr. Peter Hammond about the unfolding Cambridge plagiarism scandal involving Dr. Jason R. Day – who was appointed as the youngest black professor in Oxford's history, only to be exposed for fabricating his credentials, plagiarizing his PhD dissertation, and making outlandish claims (running marathons with a broken leg, having brain tumors, etc.). When journalists and academics questioned him, he pulled the race card and even had the Metropolitan Police intimidate his critics. Dr. Hammond grounds his critique in biblical principles: Numbers 15:15-16 – "One law shall be for you and for the stranger... as you are, so shall the stranger be." God calls for equal justice, not racial quotas or double standards. Leviticus 19:15 – "You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty." The Golden Rule (Luke 6:31) – "Do to others as you would have them do to you." Lying, fraud, and plagiarism violate this command. He argues that Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE), affirmative action, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) hires violate God's law and actually destroy the very people they claim to help – creating entitlement, victimhood, and a culture of grievance rather than hard work, integrity, and accountability. Dr. Hammond condemns suicide as self-murder and notes that Day's tragic death – rather than owning up and repenting – leaves behind a shattered family and unanswered questions. He calls for discernment, truth-telling, and a return to biblical justice, and warns that societies built on racial quotas and lies cannot prosper. He concludes with Deuteronomy 30:15 – life and death are set before us; we must choose life, truth, and righteousness.
