Radar: Ani DiFranco

I recently sat down with Ani DiFranco to talk about her new book, The Spirit of Ani: Reflections on Spirituality, Feminism, Music, and Freedom, out March 3, 2026 on Akashic Books. Written with Lauren Coyle Rosen, it's a series of conversations tracing DiFranco's creative process, spiritual life, and decades of work as an artist and activist. Our conversation covers all of it: what it means to make art from a place of deep spiritual grounding.
