Radiance Series | Pet-Sitting as a Reiki Practitioner with Christiane Michaels

Welcome to Radiance, a series from the Reiki Women Podcast, where we explore how the system of Reiki can support everyday life, spiritual practice, and meaningful service. In this episode, we’re joined by Christiane Mikles, a professional pet sitter, Reiki practitioner, and longtime animal care professional. Christiane shares her journey from wildlife rehabilitation and veterinary assistance into blending Reiki with pet sitting, offering calm, presence, and energetic support to animals and their humans. Together, we explore how Reiki can support animals during times of stress, illness, transition, and separation, and how trust, attunement, and presence are at the heart of ethical animal care. Christiane also speaks to the importance of working alongside veterinary medicine, honoring both science and spirit in compassionate pet care. This conversation is filled with practical wisdom, lived experience, and gentle reminders that animals respond not just to what we do but to how we are with them. ✨ Whether you’re a Reiki practitioner, pet sitter, animal lover, or simply curious about energy work with animals, this episode offers insight, grounding, and inspiration.
