“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’” (Luke 7: 34) In Luke’s Gospel, according to Robert Karris, Jesus is either going to a meal, at a meal, or coming from a meal. He ate, and drank, and spent time with all the wrong people. And it surprised everyone!
