Bill Frady: Oh, 2A Tuesday. Joined again from Dewey's Pawn Shop by Dewey Lemons. Good afternoon, sir. Dewey Lemons: Hey there, Mr. Bill. How are you, sir? Bill Frady: I'm doing good. I'm doing good. He's fresh off of his trip to Beretta's factory which... I can't... I don't... You know, I... You're the only one I know that's ever been invited. And I was, you know, I existed in the gun industry for a decade. So, that makes you a very special person. Dewey Lemons: Well, if you were as nice as me, then you would get to go. You got to be a nice guy like me. Bill Frady: Oh. Okay. Well. So, I need to show up there with a notebook and take some notes and maybe, you know, record some things and just try to do my best Dewey Lemons imitation. Is that what I need to do? Dewey Lemons: And get real lucky, that's it. Bill Frady: Um, so let's talk about what's in the shop today. Now you, you've been buying guns a lot, haven't you? Dewey Lemons: A lot of stuff. We've been getting a lot of reloading stuff, too. I don't know if I told you that last week, but my, my brother said, "You got to say something about reloading stuff on there. We got so much reloading stuff now." A lot of, a lot of different kind of presses and a lot of brass, a lot of bullets. Um, um, we still got powder. I mean, it's just been, primers, got a lot of primers. Just, um, a lot of, a lot of people getting out of the reloading business, been selling us a lot of their presses and dies and stuff like that. So. Bill Frady: Well, you know, I don't really understand that because except for 9mm and 5.56, every other caliber to me seems really expensive. And it'd be really smart to be a reloader if that's your kind of stuff. I mean, do you reload anything? Dewey Lemons: I do. I reload a little bit. Yep. Bill Frady: Do—Is that what you use for your, some of your hunting loads? Dewey Lemons: That is, yes. Some of my, most of my, um, most of my bigger odd-ball, like some of the Dakota calibers, some of the different calibers, you know, I, I reload. I don't reload 30-06 or 308 or or 7 Mag, you know. Usually, you can find a good load that shoots in that, but like the 300 Dakota, 330, 6.5, um, 284, 6.5 RPM, different, different stuff like that, um, yeah, I do a little reloading for that. Bill Frady: Now reloading, do you have any progressive presses in there right now? Dewey Lemons: Uh, don't think so. No, sir. Bill Frady: See, if I was going to—if I was going to Dewey's and I was going to set up a reloading thing, I would buy like four single-stage presses. And then I would just have all of my dies in the one so where I didn't have to keep changing the dies over and over again. See, that's the way I do it. That's the way I do mine. Do you prefer that versus progressive? Dewey Lemons: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I do. Bill Frady: I could imagine progressive could get sort of uh, gooey as you're going along because I'm sure you got a lot of grease and everything coming off of it and everything else. Dewey Lemons: Well, those people who get into it serious though, that's, that's the fast way to do it. Bill Frady: Yeah. Dewey Lemons: Because you know, I, I reload, I don't do but, you know, I don't do more than six or seven shells at a time most of the time, and I go shoot them and see how they're doing. I'll, I'll do six or seven shells and I'll go shoot three of them and I'll save the other ones if they're shooting good, you know. And if they're not shooting good, then I'll I'll put them to the side, I'll shoot them in a different gun or do something different, but... Bill Frady: So are primers in ready supply right now? Dewey Lemons: Yeah, yeah, we're doing really good on primers right now, I believe. Bill Frady: So bullets, brass, primers, and dies and presses, you got all that? Dewey Lemons: Press, yeah. Yeah.
