Radio Condenado #131 | Harley's War

La figura de Harley Flanagan fue fundamental para desarrollar el New York Hardcore, pero también fue la puerta de entrada de los skins en la escena hardcore punk de la Gran Manzana durante los años 80s. En la emisión #131 de Radio Condenado conoceremos como transcurrió la infancia y adolescencia de Harley, a medio camino entre Europa y Nueva York, dónde finalmente se instalará junto a su madre a finales de los 70s. Conoceremos la dura vida en el Lower East Side, las drogas, las pandillas de puentorriqueños, la violencia y cómo Harley fue saliendo adelante mientras daba sus primeros pasos en la escena junto a The Stimulators. Siendo baterista de la banda, desde los 11 años de edad, una gira por Irlanda iba a transformar al pequeño Harley. Una gira en la que se convirtió en skinhead y volvió a Nueva York con una misión: dar a conocer esta subcultura en Estados Unidos. La escena hardcore de Nueva York también cambió gracias a esa gira. Y, finalmente, os hablaremos de cómo se gestó, grabó y la influencia del primer álbum de Cro-Mags, banda que montó Harley Flanagan tras dejar The Stimulators.
