On today's show, audio excerpts from novel-in-progress, Dodge.Swedish developer, Lars Lindvall, proposes to build a new ski resort in the Selkirk Mountains, west of Kaslo, BC. While a number of locals are enthusiastically supportive of the resort, many are not.In the first two of three segments of this podcast, we're introduced to Jemima Kiss and her partner, Achilles Bergstein, the leader of the proposed resort's opposition. He and Jemima live on Icefall Creek — it, and the surrounding ecosystem, will be severely impacted should the resort go ahead. In the third segment, a crowd has gathered at a local retreat centre to hear Lindvall and Bergstein lay out their positions.
