Transcript Charlie James: All right, welcome to the program. Start off the program today with some sad news. Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80. That was announced by, I believe, her nephew earlier today, and we don't have any specific cause of death just yet, but we'll certainly bring that to you when we find out. Welcome to the program on this Tuesday afternoon. It is runoff Tuesday, polls are open for the next—what do we got?—3 hours and 54... 53 and a half minutes now. So if you have not gone to the polls, you need to do that. This is a very important race to see who the nominee will be for the Senate here in South Carolina for the Republican Party. Now, this has got kind of interesting because we all saw today, earlier today, that Cahaly over at Trafalgar, he put out a poll that said this thing is a dead heat. It's like 49.6% to 49.4%. It was just that close is how this race was. However, a news outlet over in Myrtle Beach, they were saying that they were on the phone with Trafalgar up until 8:00 or 9:00 last night, and their folks were telling them that Ralph Norman was ahead by 12 points—8 to 12 points. So that's going to be very interesting to see tonight. How do the polling places look where you are? I was... it was so funny, I was out walking the pups this morning, and one of my neighbors stopped and she rolled her window down and she said, "I'm on my way to vote for Ralph!" And I was like, "All right, there you go. Get out there and get it done." So we'll see what happens tonight. I mean, like I said, this is a very important race, and right now nobody can deny Ralph Norman's got the momentum at this moment. Let's go to Brad in Taylors. Brad, welcome. Brad: Hey, sir. Charlie James: Yes, sir. Brad: I voted this morning at 9:30 in Taylors, off of Old Rutherford Road, and there had been less than 100 people voting at that location at 9:30 this morning. Charlie James: Less than 100? Wow, that's not very good. Brad: No, it's not. Charlie James: For an important race like this, right? You folks in Taylors, I hope you're late voters. I appreciate it, Brad, thank you. You guys let me know: how was the voting at your district? Did it appear to be above normal? Did it appear to be less than normal? We are hearing that... now, we all know that a lot of us here in the Upstate, these counties, the counties were up overall. Up overall. But we are hearing that Horry County, their turnout in droves, and that is... you know, you can kind of extrapolate there that they're going to go for Darlene Graham. "Charlie, I voted this afternoon, Pickens County. As of 12:30 PM, I was only number 187 out of 2,300 registered voters to have voted." Good night, that's not good. That is not good. So... "Charlie, I just voted in Youngs Community out in Laurens County. I was number 109. They don't think they'll have more than 130 for the day out of just over 1,300 eligible voters." "Charlie, my husband just walked in the door from work, tired as he can be. He yelled, 'Oh my gosh, I didn't vote!' Ran out the door to go vote for Ralph Norman." There you go. "Charlie, I was third in my precinct this morning at 7:30." "Charlie, I was 45 already at 7:45 this morning in my precinct. Two weeks ago, I was only 28." So there you go, we'll see what happens with that. But again, it's going to be a big night. We're going to bring you all as many of the election returns as we possibly can between 7:00 and 8:00 tonight. So you guys keep it right here even after the show is over with, because I mean, this is very important. Extremely important. Now, here's what we can hope, all right? Number one, if Ralph Norman wins, he goes in and he is a true conservative. And I mean he goes along with President Trump's agenda, we try to get the Save America Act passed, we try to do away with the filibuster, do away with John Thune if needed, and be the senator that the Upstate of South Carolina deserves, because we haven't had a senator like that in a ...
