This week, I reviewed the symptoms of various tick borne illnesses, and what pharmaceuticals are usually given for acute illness. I also discussed herbs that can be helpful, including oregano oil I talked about tick borne relapsing fever, which is more common west of the Rockies, and is not caused by the Lyme species we usually have in New England, but by Borrelia hermseii. We talked about symptoms and treatment. Then, to lighten the mood, we talked about a British study that showed that people who drink fruit juice have better moods than those who don't, regardless of whether they also eat fruit!
