Aahhh - you thought you could get rid of me - didn’t you - thought you could just ignore me… well no way - I’m bloody well back again! You can’t keep a big mouth away from the microphone. Your biggest fears have been realized… season three of Radio Owlsnest is upon you; nowhere to hide - nowhere to run; so just curl up in a fetal position and pathetically surrender to the inevitable - resign your poor self to yet another season of PAGEY’S SONIC TORTURE. In today’s show I’ll be spinning yet another hidden demo written with Bernie Taupin during our era of frenetic collaboration. I’ll also be revealing a long lost demo I wrote with another lyricist legend - the unmatchable Hal David. And the fine renowned studio session singer, Tommy Funderburk, demonstrates his considerable ‘chops’ on a couple of my ancient, scarce demos. During the second half of the show, a definite Celtic/romantic atmosphere tints the proceedings, when I play you a fascinating hybrid of a song - a mongrel of a tune I was really intrigued to rediscover. You’ll learn where my song “Man in the Moon” - from my album, “In the Temple of the Muse” - gained its initial inspiration, birth and concept.
