Good morning.A fifty-four-year-old Strattanville man is dead following a high-speed police pursuit early Saturday morning in Clarion County. State police report that Clarion Borough Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Daniel Clover, which resulted in a pursuit. Clover's vehicle crashed on Miola Road in Highland Township, killing him at the scene and injuring a fifty-eight-year-old female passenger. State police are leading the ongoing investigation.A state prison inmate is facing new felony charges after allegedly stabbing a corrections officer at SCI Forest. Police say fifty-one-year-old Joseph Mander the Third used a pen modified into a shank to attack a sergeant and another officer after refusing orders to return to his cell. The sergeant suffered a fractured vertebra and multiple stab wounds, while the second officer sustained a concussion. Mander faces charges including aggravated assault and assault by a prisoner.And state police in Marienville have released details on a pair of recent traffic stops in Forest County.
