Good morning,Quick action by construction crews and firefighters helped save two dogs from a house fire in Sykesville. Workers nearby spotted smoke Monday morning and alerted emergency responders. One dog was rescued before firefighters arrived, and a second was safely removed from the home. Officials say no one was inside and no injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.In Jefferson County, a single-vehicle crash in Brookville caused power surges and outages across the area. Police say the crash happened Sunday night when a vehicle struck a utility pole on Taylor Street. Residents reported flickering lights and electrical damage, with power now mostly restored.And along Interstate 80, a traffic backup led to a crash with injuries in Union Township. State police say a tractor-trailer braking in traffic struck the rear of another vehicle. A DuBois man was taken to Penn Highlands with minor injuries.
