Good morning.A Ridgway man is behind bars this morning after allegedly throwing a woman down a flight of stairs. 25-year-old Daniel Jeffrey Baker faces first-degree felony assault charges following a domestic dispute on East Carrot Street that left the victim with a broken arm. Baker is currently being held in the Elk County Jail on ten-thousand-dollars bail.In DuBois, accountability is the theme at City Hall. Resident Shannon Gabriel is challenging the City Council over a police leader’s role amidst an ongoing civil conspiracy lawsuit. Gabriel also flagged concerns over city record-keeping, demanding more transparency regarding the costs of local infrastructure projects.And in Brockway, State Police are stepping in to manage traffic safety on Route 28. Borough officials say they are seeing an influx of heavy construction trucks failing to use the mandatory pull-off area at the top of the hill.
