The massive renovation completely modernized the historic facility—replacing old window AC units with central cooling, updating the data network, and adding extensive security barriers.In Jefferson County, a dramatic ceiling collapse isn't slowing down a local congregation. The drop ceiling at the church of Christ in Summerville caved in during a Sunday service, miraculously injuring no one. The church is now using the mishap as a springboard to launch a brand-new weekly community youth night.And health officials warn that ticks are heavily on the rise across the region this summer.
