Officials report a failed liner and a deteriorated metal structure have made the facility unsafe. Repairs will cost at least five hundred thousand dollars. The recreation board is seeking grants and public donations to reopen next year, though the park's splash pad remains open daily.In education news, the DuBois Area School Board approved a ninety-seven thousand dollar safety upgrade to install advanced security cameras across all district facilities. School directors also voted to re-enact all existing district tax rates for the upcoming fiscal year.And state police arrested forty-two-year-old Christopher Dean Snyder of Ringgold for burglary.
