Good morning.Bail has been set at one million dollars for a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper charged with third-degree murder and vehicular homicide. Fifty-five-year-old Thomas Edward Reed of Lanse is accused of driving under the influence and causing a July crash in Clearfield County that killed two people and critically injured a third. District Attorney Ryan Sayers highlighted concerns over Reed’s actions following the crash, while defense attorneys argue his bail is unconstitutionally high.Commuters in DuBois should prepare for major traffic detours starting at six o'clock this morning. Beaver Drive will be completely closed to traffic between Division Street and Shaffer Road from Monday mornings through Thursdays each week to accommodate a major city paving project. City officials say the road will reopen on weekends, with the weekly closures continuing until around the start of the school year.And a unique new family-friendly business is coming to DuBois. Ronnie's Sandbox held its ribbon-cutting on Midway Drive and is preparing for its official grand opening on August fifteenth.
