Good morning.Two people are in the Jefferson County Jail after state police seized a half-pound of methamphetamine, twenty-two grams of fentanyl, and crack cocaine during an Interstate 80 traffic stop in Pine Creek Township. Thirty-five-year-old William Runyon and forty-one-year-old Tasha Price face felony drug trafficking charges, with bail set at one hundred thousand dollars each.Four people have been charged following early morning vehicle break-ins in Big Run Borough. State police in Punxsutawney apprehended the suspects in a parking lot, recovering stolen property and a handgun stolen from a pickup truck. Twenty-one-year-old Aaron March faces firearm and felony theft charges, while three co-defendants also face multiple charges.And the Elk County Retirement Board reports top-tier financial health, recording a weighted average rate of return of over twenty-one percent for the first six months of 2026.
