Good morning.Public outcry dominated the latest DuBois City Council meeting following former city manager John “Herm” Suplizio’s recent federal guilty plea to embezzlement and theft charges. Several residents pressed council members for accountability and called on Mayor Barry Abbott to step down over past support for Suplizio. City officials declined to comment directly on the ongoing case following advice from their solicitor, but noted sentencing is set for December tenth.In Jefferson County emergency news, state and county leaders gathered in Young Township to dedicate a brand-new, nearly two-hundred-foot communications tower on Snyder Hill.
