Good morning.The Shapiro administration has announced a multimillion-dollar investment to upgrade visitor facilities at Cook Forest State Park. State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources officials say phased construction will begin in spring twenty-twenty-seven to replace aging nineteen-seventies shower houses and restrooms at Ridge Campground with modern, A-D-A accessible amenities. Park officials emphasize that Cook Forest and Ridge Campground will remain open to visitors throughout the project.In education news, the Punxsutawney Area School Board has finalized a round of new hires and administrative moves ahead of the upcoming school year. Board members approved new special education teachers, instructional assistants, and support staff, while officially appointing a high school assistant principal at a total compensation of eighty-one thousand four hundred dollars.And Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging is actively seeking volunteer Advisory Council members in Clearfield County.
