Good morning.A DuBois resident is calling on city council to recover $900,000 in taxpayer money following the corruption case of former City Manager John "Herm" Suplizio. Deb Mechling urged leaders to pursue civil action against former officials and legal counsel, citing hundreds of thousands spent on Suplizio's legal fees and unauthorized bonuses.Meanwhile, severe summer weather pushed local emergency crews to historic limits last month. DuBois Volunteer Fire Chief Joe Mitchell reported a record 200 calls in July, while city police responded to nearly 1,300 calls for service—averaging more than 40 calls per day.And classic rock group Touch of Grey will wrap up the 2026 DuBois Music Fest season this Thursday at DuBois City Park.
